For those of you waiting for a way to batch import items in your Omeka.net websites, the CSV plugin is on its way.
The CSV Import plugin will enable you to batch import items using a common database and spreadsheet file export format: comma separated value (CSV). It is possible to import files if they are available already in a digital repository and have a stable URL. To learn how to use the plugin, please consult the Help page for its instructions.
This plugin is free and will be available for all users and in all plans by July. We are rolling it out incrementally, beginning with our alpha users, and then will push it out to other plans in the coming weeks. Look for “CSV Import” in your list of plugins (admin->plugins), click Install, and you will be ready to import CSV files into any Omeka.net website.
